Car park specialists Spadeoak were the appointed contractor by the NHS Trust Slough to complete a car park construction project at Wexham Park Hospital.

The project would create an additional 198 visitor spaces and 200 staff spaces for the hospital. Previously an area of soft landscaping, the new car park would be located opposite the existing hospital. Spadeoak was instructed to construct an area over 10,000m², areas would require excavating and a complete reconstruction of surfacing layers including sub-base compaction and laying base, binder and surface course as well as a drainage system for the car park. The project incorporated a new asphalt roadway circa 3,250m², 6,675m² area of plastic porous pavers filled with gravel for staff and visitor parking and 730m² of pedestrian walkways, all completed with pre-cast concrete kerbing. Post lighting would be provided to the car park and access roads and bollard lighting installed for the pedestrian walkways.
